Duane Deemer `Wind Horse`
From Nashville TN, singer / songwriter / recording artist Duane Deemer `Wind Horse` has been a Nashville resident for 8 years. Known in and around Nashville as Choctaw Cowboy and Wind Horse, Duane is s very proud to announce the release of his new Native American spiritual album Wind Horse and is always honored to be allowed to share his music with the people. Duane has written and co-wrote songs with numerous well known artists and singer/songwriters, performing hundreds of shows in and around Tennessee playing pow wows, gatherings and songwriter shows in Nashville. In 2009 Duane released his debut album of self penned songs called Trying To Ride The Wind which can still be heard playing on radio in Belgium, France, New Zealand, Ireland, Germany and Australia.
A huge supporter of our veterans and troops Duane takes every opportunity to do shows to honor our veterans and troops. From writing with legends like Little Jimmy Dickens and Mel McDaniel to hot new writers like Mark Stephen Jones, Mason Douglas, Cory Batten and Jessica Ford. He writes many styles of music including country, rock, pop, gospel and children’s music. Duane co-wrote four songs in a yet to be released animated children’s Christmas movie called Elf Sparkle Meets Christmas The Horse. The movie winning numerous film awards including the Dove Foundation family film award and is currently nominated for a GMA Dove Award.
After spending his life honoring his families Choctaw and Cherokee heritage. In early 2010 Duane started working on his new album of all spiritual Native American music. The album entitled Wind Horse, after his given native name, has 15 self penned songs, most with traditional native drums, percussion, flutes and vocal ‘chants’. Some are calling this new album a who’s who of Native American music. Duane is joined on the album by award winning native artists and singer/songwriters like Michael Jacobs, Arvel Bird, Timo Standing Buffalo, JJ Kent, Mike Serna and The Southern Echo Drum Group.
