Duane Deemer `Wind Horse`
From Nashville TN, singer / songwriter / Spirit Wind Records recording artist Duane Wind Horse Deemer has been a Nashville resident for nearly 10 years. Known in and around Nashville as Choctaw Cowboy and Wind Horse, Duane is s very proud to announce the release of his new Native American spiritual album Wind Horse and is always honored to be allowed to share his music with the people.
Duane has written and co-wrote songs with numerous well known artists and singer/songwriters, performing hundreds of shows in and around Tennessee playing pow wows, gatherings and songwriter shows in Nashville. In 2009 Duane released his debut album of self penned songs called Tryin To Ride The Wind which can still be heard playing on radio in the U. S. and many other countries.
A huge supporter of our veterans and troops Duane takes every opportunity to do shows to honor them and their families. From writing with legends like Little Jimmy Dickens , the late Ernie Ashworth and Mel McDaniel to hot new writers like Mark Stephen Jones, Mason Douglas, Cory Batten, Billy Hester and Jessica Ford. He writes many styles of music including country, rock, pop, gospel and children’s music. Duane co-wrote 4 songs in an animated children’s Christmas film called Elf Sparkle Meets Christmas The Horse. The movie winning numerous family film awards including the Dove Foundation Family Film award and the USCAFA 2012 Song of the Year award for song ~I Do Believe.
After spending his life honoring his families Choctaw and Cherokee heritage. In late 2010 Duane released his first album of all spiritual Native American music. The album entitled Wind Horse, after his given native name, with 15 self penned songs, most with traditional native drums, percussion, flutes and vocal ‘chant`. Duane was joined on the CD by numerous award winning Native American artists and was blessed to have 2 songs , All My Relations and Sacred Way from his Wind Horse CD nominated for spiritual song of the year at the 2011 ISMA awards and All My Relations was nominated for song single of the year at the 2011 NAMMY Awards and he was awarded the 2012 Silver Arrow Award for his contributions to Native American Music.
In early 2012 Duane released his second spiritual Native American EP called Spirit Rising and in late 2012 Duane was awarded the 2013 Silver Arrow award for his contributions to Native American music after his latest release of all self penned traditional Native American flute music called Follow The Crow was released.
